What baseband version do you have? Check in Setting-About. You might have to downgrade your baseband

If you started with a OTB 1.1.1 or older iPhone, virginize, restore to 1.1.1 then follow this guide:

http://modmyi.com/wiki/index.php/Unl..._%28Upgrade%29

You'll be jailbroken and unlocked at 1.1.2

Goto to Settings ->About and Scroll all the way to the bottom
Here is a good guide to virginizing. Its not as hard as it seems, and this guide is very straight forward

Hi, im trying to use the mmi wiki for downdrading the baseband and i got to the point where i am tring to connect to the phone via terminal.

" You will now see a # prompt on the screen. Good. We are SSH'd into your iPhone's filesystem now.

Type
cd /usr/bin
followed by Return. Then type
ls "

Following this i get the message 'command not found'.

The only difference i have to the wiki is that instead of getting a hash command when i connect to my iphone i get -sh-3.2[hash].

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance
