Bricked iPhone? HELP. "Incorrect Sim Insert an unlocked and valid sim to activate"

Well, my mate stuffed up. I jailbroke his 1.1.2 OOB so he could use it as a iPod and what not in the meantime while we waited for an unlock. And he upgraded to 1.1.3, now he gets the message "Incorrect Sim Insert an unlocked and valid sim to activate phone"

How can i fix this?

Im currently on 1.1.2 how do i virginize it?

Cheers.

whats happening is the itunes 1.1.3 update is flashing your baseband firmware.
the new firmware doesn't play well with 1.1.1 and 1.1.2.
you need to downgrade your baseband. good luck. i have no idea how thats done.

You may choose to do part, or all of this. But, I'm sure it will fix your problems.

Hi guys,

Solution for iPhone with 3.9 bootloader:
http://www.hackthatphone.com/113/iph...grade_113.html

Solution for 4.6 bootloader (this is >= 1.1.2 iPhones)
Step 1. http://iphone.unlock.no/bootloader_downgrade.htm (Hardware modification)
Step 2. http://www.hackthatphone.com/113/iph...grade_113.html

I'm looking for a software solution to downgrade bootloader 4.6 or a baseband replacer for 1.1.2 OTB.

Any help will be apreciated.
