your best bet is to do a hardware unlock....I tried it yesterday and it worked...after 7 hours. I used this method h**p://iphone.unlock.no/bootloader_downgrade.htm

and this site as reference to open and solder points on the iphone in order to unlock using hardware mod

Before you do a hardware unlock, what week was your phone built? U might be able to do it all software! You modem firmware could just be upgrade, but you can easily downgrade it

Will this downgrade the 4.6 BL and the iTunes 1.1.3 update off of my 1.1.2 OOB USA phone so i can use again in the UK? I'm prepared to do this but just want to make sure this method will get my phone portion working again.

What are the first 5 numbers of the serial number? The last 2 digits [the 4th and 5th] are the weeks that your phone was built. This is the BEST way to know what route to take instead of going the hardware route

Narh he means 4th and 5th

You have Week 42. Means if you bought in Euro then its deffo 1.1.2 OTB. (Mines Euro Week 42)

Looks like yours is 1.1.2 OTB too mate
