Is it possible to unlock a 1.1.3 OTB 8GB?

My question is: It possible to unlock a 1.1.3 or 1.1.2 OTB 8GB fresh from Apple Store w/ some sort of turboSim or other name brands? I ask this question because I'm looking to buy a iPhone at the Apple Store and I'm pretty sure they will only sell iPhones w/ the most up to date software. Please tell me if this is possible.

Last I heard if you have the 4.03.13_G baseband (1.1.3 otb) that those xxxsim cards do not work. I am not positive but I am pretty sure that is the case. Maybe someway somehow if you can jailbreak the 1.1.3 otb that you may be able to use the xxxsim cards.

any iPhone with 4.03.13_G baseband is basically a iPod Touch at the moment.

as far as i know, your iPhone will lose the phone function even you downgrade it. It is due to the baseband already changed to 4.03.13g

This would only work if when you downgraded the phone you also downgraded the baseband, but you cannot downgrade the baseband (unless you have a phone with bootloader 3.9)

Then yes you could downgrade both. Right now all you can do is a hardware unlock by reflashing your bootloader by taking your phone apart. (Have fun with that)

So, you are saying that 1.1.3 can be hardware unlocked?

i just jail broke it
got installer on it and anysim wont work "duh"
so nowi have 1.1.1 running on it can i use a *****sim card?

new modem frimware cant be activated yet, no lockdownd patch yet for spoof cards or non-iTunes activated At&t sims , i have been waiting for one for a whole week.
