YeSSim unlocked 3G! EVERYTHING WORKS! (edge,in,out, sms,in,out)
Okay so I finally got my 3g unlocked via yessim. Received it yesterday and played with it for a while. After trial and error and pretty much destroying my sim tray with pins and clips(when you have the Yessim in its hard to get the tray back out).
Anyway, at first it caught network for a second, I called my gf's cell and was excited, 2 minutes later...NO SERVICE!
So next time I changed the firmware to the newest NON BETA (24 I believe) version and :boosted" sim, back in...NO SERVICE!
I read somewhere that I needed to do the "HARDWARE MOD"( put 3 pin holes in the middle copper thing on the Yessim, then insert my SIM back into a unlocked or TMobile phone, which I did. My gf's iPhone. That didnt work either.
So this morning I decided to try and return the SIM to my TMobile Sidekick and see if that reactivated it and to my surpise IT DID!
Its been like 1hr of straight through service, calls in and out, sms in and out and best of all EDGE IS WORKING PERFECTLY!!!
Im not 100% sure of my "Yessup" settings but Ill try:
firmware 24 ** i think
universal
boost
110
hardware mod
iPhone Settings:
3g off
data roaming on
wifi (dont matter)
network-->I have tmobile full internet pkg. $19.99
apn: internet3.oicestream.com
Hope this helped someone

ok UPDATE:
Today after about 8hrs of EVERYTHING WORKING it said no service! I tried putting it in my tmobile sidekick to catch network then back in my 3G, no dice!
Looked into it and it said to try 1 for count, universal, boost and the newest firmware 24. Did it, back to the 'kick and back to the iPhone...boom! Everythings back. Well see for how long though.
Anyone know where to get newer 3G beta firmwares for yessim?
