Unlock with TIM software
Ok, this is most likely a very stupid question that someone may be able to answer.
If TIM in Italy sells iPhones unlocked, if one were to download that version of software for the iPhone and it were updated to that version of software, would it then be unlocked?
Anyone worth taking the risk?

so we need a way to change the IMEI number to an Italian Number? or may be Buy from an iPhone from Italy, but you probably have to sign up a contract

its not the firmware, its the phone
it even says it on the box basically. but its the hardware that makes the phone unlocked. ALL USA phones say at&t
other legit phones say the legit company they are locked too. the hongkong and belgium phones are jus sold unlocked. it has nothing to do with what firmware they are on.
if it was this easy, do you think the dev team would be struggling right now for an unlock?1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd

useless
its the hardware directly from apple. not ur region, not ur imei, not the firmware. or region firmware. none of that, its how its shipped from apple directly. uk phones wont work in the u.s. and u.s. phones wont work in uk UNLESS a real unlock comes out. it has zero nada nothing to do with any of your suggestions1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd
