iBrickr & itunes can't connect to iphone
|
I have a 1st generation iphone (1.0.2). The touch screen stopped working (could not even emergency slide) about 6 mths ago but since I am not in the US, I did not try to get it repaired. I thought it was a software problem so I had a friend reset it back to orginal unlocked 1.0.2.
However, I checked recently and the touch screen started working again (can get into the emergency call screen and press the numbers). So, I connected it to my laptop (the same one I was using before the iphone died on me) but while the iphone is charging thru the usb, and the device manager in Windows XP says there is an Apple mobile device, iBrickr can't find the phone and neither can iTunes, so I am unable to try to unlock the phone.
Can someone please help? Otherwise, I am stuck with a very expensive paperweight!
