My sister has been traveling in Europe for over a year and she has switched phones and Sim's a Million Times. I have used this company every time She needed an Unlock code:

They have a section for Apple iPhone as well. I know that the iPhones that are being shipped worldwide are unlocked by the customers request for a code.

Maybe this company can provide the unlock code. You Never know. I only say this because I have dealt with this company before and many times soooooo...

DONT DO IT!! Alot of these places that are coming out of the UK are nothing but scammers. Here's a different webiste, same company Iphone Unlocking

They charged me 42.00 for a copy of iLiberty+ and Pwnage. I also tried iphoneunlock.uk..same thing except they actually gave me my money back when I told them they were selling freeware. The other place, I had to call my credit card company and revoke the charge.

So if you want to screw yourself out of some cash..go ahead and try them.

Yup its ridiculous, however the main point of this thread which is why I started the thread is I havent gotten scammed by this company they actually are a legitimate unlocker, and they dont sell freeware, they generate codes.

If they have been able to unlock 7 different phones at my request all from different carriers around the WORLD I wouldnt have much doubt if the 3G could have a code generated from the Imei #

Afterall, even some of the companies are marketing the iPhone 3g. Go Figure

I never saw an iphone being unlocked with a code, have you even unlocked a first gen iphone with this company? I highly doubt it. If there would be a software unlock the devteam would have found it, not saying there isn't going to be one. As of right now the only unlock for the 3g is yessim or turbosim.

Im sorry you have never seen an iPhone being unlocked by a code. And yes the only way for us T-Mobile USA users is to use Yessim or Turbosim.

If there was a software unlock then yes the Dev Team is working on it, No one said they arent.

Call Apple Support and ask them how the phones are unlocked for carriers other than the US.

You have to have your service contract either terminated or fulfilled and pay your carrier to give you the code. The Price varies for Different Carriers.

So no, the only unlock available for the iphone is not just the yessim or turbosim or stealth sim.
