iPhone 3G cannot be activated due to Itunes store being blocked at work!

My iPhone can't be "activated" via iTunes due to my job having the iTunes store blocked so iTunes itself can't connect to the iTunes server to send a activation token over.

Is there an application that can activate the phone without needing iTunes?

i just connected up my old 3g phone and used the internet from that
thus bypassing work filters
