How to upgrade 1.0.2 to 1.1.4 and unlock it ?

hello all,

I got the first generation iphone and it was unlocked by one of my friend. I moved out of state and lost his fone numbers so could not contact him anymore.
My iphone currently work on t-mobile network, software version 1.0.2 (1C28), Modem firmware is 03.14.08_G. I'd like to upgrade to version 1.1.4 and unclock it again so it can be used on T-mobile network so how do I do it, any one who had done please give me some step what do do please.

Restore to 1.1.4 then use iLiberty or pwnage tool to unlock

do you have a link how to unlock by using iLiberty or pwnage program ? and Do I need to use Next SIM to make it work ?

upgrade to 1.14 on itunes.. then unlock with Ziphone.
