a friend of mine asked me to unlock her iPhone. well i told her i'd give it a shot and so far i've got it to the point where its on the v1.1.2 firmware and jailbroken. i put my t-mobile sim card in, and had anysim 1.2u installed and tried to use that but it said that it was unsuccessful. while i was doing this, i put it on airplane mode like it said on here
can anyone help me out? my friend is leaving the US soon for good and i would like to get this unlocked for her a.s.a.p. thanks!
If u have a 1.1.2 firmware OOB (out Of Box) at the moment the only way to unlock it it's via "hack" the sim card with a Turbosim StealSim ecc ecc.
Otherwise if u upgrade the Iphone from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2, try to put back firmware 1.1.1, jailbreak, install oktoprep, install anysim 1.2u, run it upgrade jailbreak and see what append.
