there maybe alot on unlocking iphones but i seemt o get more confused the more i try to search about it.

my good friend is willing to sell his iphone to me for 100 dollars nothings wrong with it works great. hes just wants the new iphone.

my main question is was do i have to do to get the phone unlocked because i use tmobile as my carrier. he uses at&t and is activated.

all i know is that he is using 1.1.4 and is jail broken....

If it's jailbroken, go to Installer, there should be an app called "Unlock". Run it and swap out sim cards.

You see the top of the iPhone, that little hole? Get a paper clip or something similar and push it down the hole and the sim card tray will pop open.
