Hi everyone,

I apologize in advance I'm sure you're read hundreds of similar posts to this one about unlocking the iphone but I've searched throughout the forum and web and to be frank I'm a bit overwhelmed and don't know what to do.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to unlock my iphone, i bought it on the first day when it came out in the UK so it is on firmware 1.0.2 (i think) and have been putting off unlocking it since then as i am very unsure. I am not a computing novice at all, i would actually say intermediate or advanced but am a novice when it comes to phone unlocking.

I need to unlock my iphone for my sisters birthday which is in 2 days time (yikes!) so it can accept her T-Mobile sim.

All i need is someone to tell me what software i need and hopefully point me in the direction of a step-by-step guide.

uk iphones comes with 1.1.2 when they first released it over there. you're out of luck with the unlocking part

oh shoot - so am i screwed then? is there no way i can downgrade to 1.0.2 and then unlock? do i have anhy options left?

Its my fault i should have tried researching this much earlier but put it off cos i wasn't sure and i wanted to give it to my sis cos she has had a tough year and i think she really wanted the iphone.
