    Default Iphone firmware version

Ahh!! Just got my iphone and am desperately trying to find out what version of firmware it has on it.

For some reason I cannot find anything on the net to help me find out what firmware it is!

I am just hoping to heck tis OTB 1.1.1! If its not, I shall downgrade to 1.1.1 for ipod and wireless .

Please reply I want to get started with it!

go to settings / general/about and in there it will have a tab called version and just look beside it and it will display 1.1.1 or 1.1.2

    awww dam dam dam

    04.02.13_G

    How aggrivating!

Shall I just keep posting on these forums and hope something comes up and it will be mentioned here!?

So what do i do now?!

Do i use jailbreak and use the 1.1.1 firmware restore.

When a 1.1.2 is released... does that mean I can use that? Or do you reset to factory settings and go back and do the whole process again.

    Default What Country

What country are you in and what network do you want to use? There are ways around the 1.1.2 and the latest bootloader via software.

    Default UK I Phone

Currently if it a latest level i Phone purchased in the UK it can only be unlocked to the o2 network in the uk by software. Though you can buy sim card adaptors etc to allow you to use yor i phone on any network but at a price.
The alternative is to wait for apple to release 1.1.3 and wait for someone to release a software update to unlock all 1.1.2 phones.
