Stuck in Recovery Mode

Here is my problem.

I recently bought a brand new iphone a week ago. I was downloading a couple of programs off the installer package and the itunes connect logo came up on the screen.

I have read ALL of the help tutorials by apple and none of them solve the problem. The phone no matter what I do when restoring through itunes keeps finishing on the message "The iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (6).

I have tried a new user, another computer, EVERYTHING. I cannot get it out of recovery mode and past this code error.

I have not tried ibrickr or liberty etc to try and solve the problem. Should I?

Can anyone help and what does code error 6 mean.

What version software is the iphone? Is it used legit with at&t? Describe it better...
