I'm trying to reset my phone as if I just took it out of the box BUT would like to keep all my contacts.

I'm a little confused with the terminology used on the forum and I'm not sure what the proper way is to do this.

Can I go to General > Reset.. on my iPhone and do it that way?

Whats a "Restore" method through iTunes?

Can you use the liberty software?

BTW, its a Jailbroken phone, I'm using it on AT&T...

I think any way you go about it you will have to re sync you contacts. you can do the pref>general>reset that will wipe everything clean
itunes restore will also wipe it but that is what you do when there is a problem and you need a fresh start or want to re-jail break etc.
I guess it depends on why you want to wipe it. also either way I think you will loss the jail break and have to rejail break it

Restore removes 99% of it.
The other 1% is just nvmram arguments and such used by jailbreak that are still there, not a problem though.
