I want to unlock my already active phone.
From what I read, I need to go back and virginize the phone as I had problems just doing an unlock with anysim.
My question is if I do that will it be a problem to reactivate the phone? I want to use AT&T in the US but abroad be able to use a different SIM.
Thanks in advance.

If its not unlocked already, theres no need to virginize, just run anySIM.

You HAVE to replace the lockdown file otherwise you'll eventually (if not immediately) get a "different SIM card detected)" error. Easy solution is just SFTP to the phone go to usr/libexec and replace the lockdown file with the patched 1.1.1 If you need it, email me [email protected] takes 5 seconds to fix. YOU DO NOT NEED TO VIRGINIZE your phone.

I unlocked an already active phone and I am getting the SIM card error but maybe it is because of the European SIM card I am using. When I checked with a US sim everythig worked fine.
I will check the file jacobzking mentioned....
