    Default upgrade then unlock ?

    is there a way that i can upgrade my new iphone to 1.1.4 then unlock it ?

    it tells me to activate the phone when in itunes.

    When you restore to stock apple firmware it will say that, you then need to jailbreak with you preferred software. Use either of the two above, I use WinPwn but whatever you use find a good step by step guide because getting it even a little bit wrong can cause problems. There are plenty of guides on this site if you search enough, I have pwned two of my iphones now, if you want a walk through pm me.
