my friend can only jailbreak it and gave up unlocking it as it came with with FW 04.02.13_G which means bootloader 42. will ask the tech how he did it but doubt if he will reveal it as its his ricebowl. cheers

NO NO NO NO
04.02.13_G is the baseband which can be unlocked. That has nothing to do with the firmware. Only that the baseband is updateable via a firmware update.

Bootloader is either 3.9 or 4.6 nothing else!

and maybe your friend too dont know how to downgrade the baseband... and he dont have anysim1.2.1u or dont know how to make it run.. and he just used anysim1.1 on baseband 4.02 running on 1.1.1 which is not right.... you can unlock it without downgrading the baseband through unlocking on baseband 4.02 with 1.1.1 ussing 1.2.1u, install oktoprep, upgrade to 1.1.2 , jail break, install app from tweaks 112, and done (you should apply more brain cells, i assure you can do it too) correct me if im wrong...

That doesnt meen anything. All they did was take the new anysim open source and made it work for 1.1.2. That doesnt meen that it works on bootloader 4.6

And if it does I'd like to challenge them to post up the method on http://www.11246unlock.com so they can get the $500 cash prize, thats plenty of money!
