Why will Apple realease new firmware if DEVS cant unlock this one, even if apple did realease a new firmware they would probably be smart enough to leave the bootloader the way it is so meaning impossible to software unlock the iphone.

That's a nice vote of confidence, but I highly doubt Apple bases their firmware updates on the actions of the Dev Team. They are simply a small thorn in Apple's very big side.

i recently bought an iphone fr a friend who gave up on it as it was unable to unlock. version 1.1.2(3B48B), model MA712LL, SN 7W741HXXXX8, FW 04.02.13_G
I went around almost all the phone shops in my area for unlocking assistance. I was pretty desperate to get the iphone working. alas, I found this young technician from a hp shop saying that he can try to help me but he say that it will take him 3 to 4 days and a small fee for his effort.
everyday i called him to enquire, but he just ask me to be patient.on the 5th day, he called to inform me that my iphone is ready to be collected and UNLOCKED. I happily paid him the agreed fee about $50)
now my iphone is loaded with version 1.1.1(3A109a) with FW 04,01.13_G.
guess my xmas came early this year..

the 41 means week 41, its only post week45 that cant be unlocked. at least thats the way i have understood it.

my friend can only jailbreak it and gave up unlocking it as it came with with FW 04.02.13_G which means bootloader 42. will ask the tech how he did it but doubt if he will reveal it as its his ricebowl. cheers

NO NO NO NO
04.02.13_G is the baseband which can be unlocked. That has nothing to do with the firmware. Only that the baseband is updateable via a firmware update.

Bootloader is either 3.9 or 4.6 nothing else!

week 41, i think i can unlock it for 20 to 30 minutes only, maybe that young technician just use your iphone for practice... or maybe he made mistake on downgrading the baseband thats why he took 5 days to make it perfectly

and maybe your friend too dont know how to downgrade the baseband... and he dont have anysim1.2.1u or dont know how to make it run.. and he just used anysim1.1 on baseband 4.02 running on 1.1.1 which is not right.... you can unlock it without downgrading the baseband through unlocking on baseband 4.02 with 1.1.1 ussing 1.2.1u, install oktoprep, upgrade to 1.1.2 , jail break, install app from tweaks 112, and done (you should apply more brain cells, i assure you can do it too) correct me if im wrong...

That doesnt meen anything. All they did was take the new anysim open source and made it work for 1.1.2. That doesnt meen that it works on bootloader 4.6

And if it does I'd like to challenge them to post up the method on http://www.11246unlock.com so they can get the $500 cash prize, thats plenty of money!
