Newbie, need help from out of box 1.1.2 iphone

Hey, guys anyone have a link or can help me with retard proof step by step guide to unlock iphone firmware version 1.1.2. From right out the box and still has (att sim card) in it. I'm looking to use with t-mobile in ohio. Need everything from start to finish! Thank You guys ahead of time for the help. I can't wait to shock my friends with this upgrade

if it has a new bootloader (and most likely it does) you might not be able to. Other then that go to Guides there is a 5 year old proof guide there.

How can you tell if it has a bootloader? Is there any way around it? Downgrade etc.......

most of the OTB phones that are running 1.1.2 have new one. I don't think you can downgrade it. Maybe some one can correct me if I am wrong.
