Currently on 1.0.2 with AT&T, Wants to upgarde to 1.1.1 with Windows ???

Could anyone please tell me how to update an AT&T services subscribed 1.0.2 version to 1.1.1. I am using this version for last 3 months but wants to upgrade now. I am currently subscribed to AT&T services. I have updated this iPhone via itunes when i got this iphone 4 months ago. Currently on 1.0.2. I haven't done any modifications in it. So Should I
1. Just upgrade via itunes. Hold down the shift key and select the 1.1.1 firware and then do all the jailbreaking and unlocking.
2. Do I have to virginize my iphone to update it to 1.1.1.
Your early reaplies will be highly appreciated.
If someone can tell me what would be the best option for this.
