I would really appreciate any kind of help

So I was up and running with an unlocked iPhone, but installed an app that changed the carrier logo... after changing the carrier logo it wiped out all the icons on my screen and basically left me with just phone and ipod features...

I then read that I could update to 1.1.2, which I did and now I've been following countless steps including, downgrading to 1.0.2, upgrading to 1.1.1, virginizing, downgrading the Baseband, running anysim countless times...

All in all it leaves me with a jailbroken phone, but it doesn't recognize the carrier. Can someone help tell me what I should do, or direct me?

I don't think I can survive another 10 hrs of tinkering with this thing lol

Go back and retrace all the steps you've taken to date -- including details like what methodology used to unlock in the first place, what application you suspect of screwing your iPhone happiness and what exactly you did after things went awry.

BTW, you should include app versions where applicable.
