Hello,

I just flashed my iphone to firmware 5A331. (Beta 7)

I found on the internet it is already crackable.

By using Ziphone you can activate it and use the baseband.

But wich version of ziphone is it?


i have the newest version on the site Ziphone OSX ver 3.0c
but when i try to unlock & activate it, it just hangs at 'Entering Recovery Mode'

How to activate it?

Have you tried to put the phone in recovery mode manually? I would speculate the NEWEST version of Ziphone. I would go to ziphone.org and check the blog to see if others are having any success. The Installer program and ALL the apps are NOT compatible with the 2.0 firmware. If it is "crackable" then the only thing you'll be able to do is SSH into the phone to change graphics and stuff manually.

The newest version i can find is 3.0c

the ziphone site is the blog but i cant find any comments about beta 7

do you know how to activate it (cause on the internet sites are saying : iphone beta 7 unlocked by ziphone)

At this point is it even worth it? We are mere days away from the official release and it probably will not be long after that when GUI programs like ZiPhone and WinPWN are able to handle it.

Activation on Beta 7 has not been released by the developer community.
What Zibri posted is misleading.

As for Beta 7, with minor knowledge anyone can decode the RAM disk, extract the key and unlock BB 04.05.04_G (I did it...).
Unlocking that BB is only useful if you want to upgrade yours in either 1.1.4 or 2.0 5a240d.

At this point I doubt any serious member of the Dev-Team will release their exploits of 2.0.

As of 2.0 B7 it seems (not confirmed) that it has been Activated (unlocked was a breeze). Jailbraking is another challenge because Apple introduced Code signing at the Kernel level so I am sure the Dev-Team is working on bypassing this, but no news so far.

I am doubtful Apple will keep the current Lockdown in the latest Beta releases and probably will distribute on july 11th a 2.0, never been seen before, that comes in the 3G that is supposed to be "impenetrable"...

hi same here... the problem remains the same..
But now i event cant reset my iphone to 1.1.4...

Can any body help in regarding this issue..
