12-02-2007, 07:52 AM #1can ATT simlock from US 1.1.2 OTB be switched to UK O2?
Hi! I've recently bought an US iphone with FW 1.1.2 and the 4.6 bootloader. I want to use it with a german O2 card, and I'm wondering if it somehow it would be possible to unlock it for O2 only as this is the provider for UK. Meaning: Is there a possibility to switch the simlock from ATT to O2?
...just why I'm asking that question: After spending allmost the whole weekend on the internet, I discovered this: http://modmyi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15837
It say's: "THIS NOW WORKS WITH ANY O2/AT&T/BASE PROVIDER SIM!! You can use any O2 sim with this method" and explicitly mention that it works with 1.1.2 OTB
no crack out there for a little comment?

I heard rumors that works but not for sure on the 1.1.2 firmwre and you have to load the iphuc commands everytime you reboot your phone and that would get really annoying.
