They said they can unlock iphone 1.1.2 with bootloader 4.6 by hardware method.

Kenmaster: I know people that 'CLAIM' to have downgraded the bootloader 4.6 via hardware method... they got 2 out of 5 phones working their first try.... other 3 = dead.

Its a real risky thing playing around with pulling the phone apart to downgrade bootloader... could cause future issues.

Who knows if its even true. People love to say all kinds of things. We will see what happens next week.

Hi Guys,

I was reading in other thread that somebody from Vietnam could unlock an OOTB 1.1.2 with Bootloader 4.6, and he (spaxx) just didn't provided any proof of the same, and also the thread is already closed.

I would like to share with you and also to question about the meaning of the picture posted in this forum from Vietnam (http://www.gsm.com.vn/forum/main/showthread.php?t=84095). I'm not saying nothing like the unlock was done by people from that country and nothing else more than the simple question (because you're the experts) of What is the meaning of the data showed in the "About" section of that iPhone Settings? Could that be done with a kind of TurboSIM, or something like that?

He doesnt provide enough proof of a software unlock. He is using a Xsim .

i duno wats with u , u seems very negative about a free SW unlock.. i know u are a faithful believer of Xsim..

u were a turbosim fanboy, then comes stealthsim and u hopped over..
we know u are using wateverSIM , but give the dev team a benefit of doubt as they have given us so many unlocks unlike those commercial blood suckers who extort the majority with their iphone unlocks.

Though im using a week 30 iphone but i still keeping my fingers crossed with those who are currently carrying a 112 OTB, for a sw unlock to surface.

Just my 2 cents.

There was a previous thread by ta_mobile, a reputable guy of sorts, who claims to have decrypted the bootloader. One of the moderators who locked that thread trusts him. They put him in contact with the DEV team.

Rumor on this thread says it will be out by tuesday. Take this for what it's worth, it's just a glimmer of hope. Nothing confirmed yet but it's the most promising development I've read yet.

That's intresting bu i think you made a little mistake, dont you mean he Decrypted the secpack not the Bootloader LOL.

I've got an o2 OTB 1.1.2 phone, unlocked it so I can use any O2 sim via method in http://www.iphoneunlockuk.com, which involved downloading to 1.1.1, jailbreaking, activation, then upgrading back to 1.1.2 etc, so I can now use it with O2 PAYG or Simplicity tariffs.

I'm using an O2 SIM on a Simplicity tariff.

If I wanted the latest firmware upgrade, i.e 1.1.3, is it possible to virginise it back to "shop/out of box" condition, then activate it onto a new official iPhone O2 tariff, or has my unlocking/jailbreaking eliminated that possibility now.

Apologies if this is in the wrong post, but I'm new to all this, and all the hits on virginising appear to only relate to 1.1.1 and earlier.

I posted here, as my question is related to 1.1.3 when it comes out, I'm just wondering if I can restore the phone to factory default via iTunes, then activate it officially through iTunes on a new official iPhone O2 tariff, and upgrade it to latest firmware.

In simple terms, I activated my iPhone unofficially, is there any way I can restore back to 1.1.2 back to activation screen so I could activate officially and sign up to one of the official iphone O2 tariffs?
