US 1.1.2 out of the box iphone question.
Hello.. Can somebody PLEASE clear this up ..

My main question is..

Is it possible to unlock an USA new 1.1.2 'out-of-the-box' iphone?

My friend is in US at the moment and is planning to purchase one for me but just wanted to make sure that the US iphones are 'patchable'
