Thread: iPhone 1.1.2 (OOB) UK/USA/DE

Thumbs up iPhone 1.1.2 (OOB) UK/USA/DE
    Some Good News:
To let you all know, i have donated a brand new UK iPhone to geohot which he recieved this morning at 10:30am. He has informed me that he is confident he can
hardware dump the new bootloader. This will be a huge milestone in getting the 1.1.2 OOB iPhones unlocked, as once this is done, the Dev Team can find an exploit just
like they did on the old one. Check back for regular updates!

    General Status:
    Problematic, in progress, testing

    Description:
It seems that the 1.1.2 iPhone is shipping with a different bootloader. The iPhone dev community does not provide any tools for this new bootloader yet, so wait a bit longer. It seems as if the latest iPhones in the USA are now also shipped with the new bootloader. Let's see how fast the iPhone dev team finds a way to patch the new bootloader.
These phones are shipped with the Version 4.6 bootloader where the old ones had 3.9.
