What's up guys?

I decided to buy an iPhone and got one from eBay. It is brand new in a box, sealed, never opened (bought 2 weeks ago). It is a 8 GB and I assume it will have the latest firmware installed. It is not unlocked or jailbroken or anything. I use AT&T. I did not buy this phone from AT&T and I am in the middle of my contract. My question is, do I have to unlock or jailbreak my iPhone? What do I do when it gets here? Just pop in my SIM card and viola? Or is there something else I need to do? I understand that there is some kind of activation process through iTunes. I'm just not sure if it applies to me or not. Will activating extend my contract or anything?

If I do have to unlock/jailbreak, what is the best method of doing so? I downloaded the new democracy program but Im not sure how it can help.

If the iPhone is 1.1.1 FW, can I upgrade to 1.1.2 and still be able to use it?
