waiting for activation?

first off I am not unlocked, I am an ATT customer. I had 1.1.2 running fine jailbreaked than stared crashing so I downgraded to 1.02 than upgraded to 1.1.1 but here's where the problem starts, 1.1.1 restors fine but a message appears that says "waiting for activation" iTunes doesn't know my phone #, no Edge service and it won't activate on 1.1.1 - it works fine with 1.02 though - id like to upgrade and get back to my jailbroken 1.1.2 with everything working "activated"
