OTB 1.1.2 Unlock?

i just got my brand new iPhone monday shipped from the Apple Store, and to my surprise it has 1.1.2!!!!!

i need to know if theres a way to unlock it or activate it?

its an otb 1.1.2 and its an US iPhone..

Sounds promising. This runs on Windows only, right? I have access to Windows machine but I'll use the iPhone with a Mac. Hope it doesn't cause any problems.

quick note .... 'iDemocracy does not support firmware 1.1.2! It may support it in the near future, possibly on release of iDemocracy 2 (but I doubt it). More likely, an update to iDemocracy 2.0 will be released a few weeks after the original release which will add 1.1.2 support. Continual updates will follow to update various other functions of iDemocracy to work on 1.1.2.'

basically if you cannot be bothered to read it, it says that the developer of iDemocracy is waiting for the dev team to release their magic.

UPDATE: There will be no new jailbreak method for now (we're sticking with the downgrade way). This is because the tiff exploit method is short-lived. When 1.1.2 comes out it'll be blown away. However, the symlink way might just work for 1.1.2 (though I doubt it). Chances are there will be an update released or something which will support 1.1.2. It's all very conceptual right now.
And I've got a bunch more surprises up my sleeve...

i manage to downgrade my 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 and jailbreaked it
but the question i have is that if when the release of iDemocracy comes out and if it really works with 1.1.2 and unlocks the sim, will it still work on my iphone or did i just made it into an expensive ipod touch?

you should be able to restore it back to 1.1.2 when the unlock for it is out.

At the moment I am guessing no, as the dev team have yet to release any updates on the current situation on the new bootloader.

iDemocracy is basiccally a GUI of what the dev team will produce.

Hello everyone,
Just to clarify some stuff: iDemocracy 2 will not unlock OTB 1.1.2 iPhones running bootloader 4.06. Sorry about the confusion.... apparently my wording on the website sounded to some people as though I had unlocked 4.06, which is currently impossible.
In the near future, however, there will be a 2.1 release that will add this (as soon as someone figures out how).
