Hey guys i got a 1.1.1 out of the box brand new i unlocked it fully with anysim, now when i open itunes and i try to sync it.. it says i need to upgrade to 7.5 to activate the phone? any takers ? It will let me use it as a fully functional phone but iTunes doesnt want to talk im downloading 7.4 and see if it helps

you should be able to upgrade itunes w/o impacting your unlock so long as you don't upgrade the iphone firmware.

well i upgraded to 7.5 now it says" there is no carrier that supports the installed sim card in the iPhone"

FW 1.1.1 work with iTune 7.4, you may uninstall itune 7.5 and get itune 7.4 for FW1.1.1 unlocked.

same thing happend to my iphone, I just got a 1.1.1 from apple store due to a deat strip on my old one, use anysim to unlocked, tried to use ATT prepaid sim NOT good, use tmobile sim say there is no carrier that supports just like yours, I will try it later tonight with my other laptop and see what happends.

Im using iTunes 7.5 with my unlocked 1.1.1 and it recognizes the phone and syncs without problems.
