iPhone - few unlock questions, please help..

I've just puchased a iPhone from the USA and want to use it on UK Orange. Do I simply need to run ZiPhone 3.0 and select unlock after connecting it up to my computer.

The phone is running version 04.04.05_g I believe. Is this equivelent to 1.1.4?

Also, should I do the jailbreak?

I presume I don't need to do the restore thing as it is an out of the box new phone?

Please let me know. All help appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Some people have had problems with ziphone. I have tried all the jailbreaks and my current favorite is the pwntool.

I also bought a iphone back from the USA. I tried a few differnt ways of getting it up & running & I found Ziphone the easyist. I used 2.5 & clicked on the do it all button & then just left it to do it's job. My phone has now got a Virgin sim in it. I think with all these programmes you need to find the one that works best for you. The other thing I have found is that it is best to have a fully charged phone before you start.

Used iLiberty+ and this worked a treat, thanks guys.

Also, is this the best forum around for hints, tips and tricks advice on the iPhone?

Thanks
