i have 1.1.1 and i keep getting this message.

insert an unlocked and valid sim to activate iphone.

i downgrade to 1.0.2 but have the same message and i when i connect to itunes is saying that i phone is damage and can't activate. please visit apple store.

i tried anysim, downgrade, upgarade again and virginazer but nothing.

i think alot of people are having this problem. i believe it is a problem with the virginizer. thats when mine started doing it. A solution needs to be founf asap or alot of people are going to have inoperable phones. It seems like a simple fix anyone have anything yet??

I am having the same problem. I have version 1.0.2 and never updated but even after I restore I cannot get my phone to work.

I heard found a solution using (click here) but no explanation was given. I am using a Macbook to do the unlock if that matters.
