Hi, i purchased an iphone from ebay and it's jailbroken, unlocked, activated with 1.1.4. I don't know which method it was unlocked by but it does have the installer.app if that helps. I'm an existing customer of tmobile in U.S. right now. I'm thinking about switching to ATT now because i'll get the data plan so that I can get internet even in non wifi zones, correct? So if I restore my iPhone from itunes, will it cause everything to be exactly new like locked and everything, so future updates can be installed correctly and i can use ATT? And what is EDGE, if that has anything to do with this. Any replies will be appreciated. Thanks!

You don't have to switch to ATT. You can add a $5.99 plan to use the internet via EDGE.
But you must perform the TZONES hack.

EDGE is the data network that allows both ATT and T-mobile users have access to the internet.

Nice, can anyone guide me on how to install this TZONES hack? If you can give me a link to exact directions on what to do with TZones and edge that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
