How to disable default SMS alerts?S

So I have purchased tlert and for some reason when I get a text message I still get the default notification as well. So I have to close out of that and then I can quick reply through tlert bubble. How do I disable the default sms alerts so I don't have to keep closing it out every time I get a text message?

i believe you go it to settings/messages and turn off the message preview.

Thank you for the quick response and willingness to help. This is not the solution unfortunately, and the only way to solve this issue is to download popupblocker and then go into the phones general settings menu and change the popup blocker to block the sms popups.
