seeing sms on lockscreen without waking phone
I apologize if this has been addressed but I came up empty on my search (who knew "backlight" and "lockscreen" were common words?
). Anyway, I installed the trial version of tlert to see if it could replace irealquicksms for me (irealquick has an annoying habit of not marking texts as read). When I receive a text, I have to wake up my phone in order to see it - in other words, my screen doesn't automatically light up like it does with the stock sms app or irealquicksms. Am I missing something here or is there no way to have the text show up on the lockscreen with the backlight on automatically? It's annoying to have to press the home button every time.

I don't think you completely understood what I meant. The SMS does show on the lockscreen; however, you can't see it because the screen is off. The only way you can see the sms on the lockscreen is to press the home button or the power button. With the stock SMS program or irealquicksms, when you get an SMS message it shows up on the lockscreen with the screen on - there's no need to push the home or power button to see the message.
I also have intelliscreen but I don't think it works like that either. Plus, it doesn't give you the ability to view and reply to sms messages from any app.

try disabling intelliscreen and then send yourself a text. just experiment, see which program is causing it.
