    Default AT&T iOS 5 Problem

After successfully upgrading to ios 5 with redsn0w, I've noticed that I get no cellular service with AT&T :/ I followed this tutorial: http://www.redmondpie.com/redsn0w-0.9.8-ios-5-jailbreak-released-for-windows/ anyone know what to do?? I am using an official sim card from AT&T.

Thats a old tutorial for the early betas. I assume you are restoring to the GM correct? If so make sure to restore to that and activate first in itunes before using redsnow to jailbreak. You should also use the latest redsnow 0.9.9b3.

Oh okay I see. Let me explain what I did during this process.
I backed up my iPhone to iTunes 10 (not in iTunes 10.5)
Installed iTunes 10.5 because i had to use the iTunes 10.5 beta 7 to upgrade to ios 5
Shift + restore and pointed it to ios 5
    Restore process
Went to redsn0w and followed the tutorial which told me to do:
    Point iOS 5 to redsn0w
Put it in dfu mode and go thru all the normal jailbreak process.
Worked perfect, got Cydia but no service.

And yes I'm restoring to GM
    Will try your method

Looks like you used redsnow too early in the process. Make sure the phone is up and running with service first before using redsnow.

Okay, when I finished restoring and installing iOS 5, I get stuck in the activation page on iTunes. I heard that you don't need udid activation to have your phone activated so it could work. :/ am not sure if that's the phone udid activation or the sim card activation. But Im sure my AT&T sim card is working because I was just using it before this whole upgrade

I'm not a dev... never been a dev... don't plan on becoming a dev.. and I am running the iOS 5 GM on my AT&T iPhone 4 no problem.

I suggest you download a different copy of the gold master from somewhere else. Just because it's labeled that way doesn't means it's actually the GM. Also you MUST have iTunes 10.5 beta 7 or higher installed to install and activate it.
