I have my 3gs set up on the gophone and currently have the 100mb data plan that expires on the 16th. Since leftover data rolls over month to month if you keep it from expiring, I am planning on doing 1 month at 100mb, next at 500mb, etc. since 250mb per month would be a good sweet spot for me for the amount of data usage I would typically do.
My question is do I have to wait until the 16th to buy my next batch of data so the next 30 day period starts from the same time, or if I bought it today would it start my next 30 day period today and not add 30 days from the 16th?
If you bought a 500MB pack today, it should add 30 days from the 16th (YMMV, as I don't use gophone currently rather basing on past experience). You should be able to buy 3 monthly packs within a 30 day period, and the current rollover data balance limit is 1500MB/1.5GB. If you're really unsure about doing this, just wait a couple more days so you maximize the days you have data.
Now, if your service expiration date (for GoPhone service, not data) is on the 16th, then you'll have to buy a new refill by then. Buying a data pack does not extend that date. Typically GoPhone refill last 90 days, so I'm doubting that you're already at that point yet given your past posts.
Thanks for the reply. My data expires on Sunday, but my service is all set up to January. I have around 30mb left, and will try the renewal probably some time tonight and find out.
Well, I ordered the 500mb data package this morning.
While it did roll my remaining 30mb into it, it started the 30 day timer from today instead of adding it to the 4 days I had left on it.
