Back in June I purchased the $50.00 unlimited talk and text for the GoPhone SIM I got from AT&T--it worked perfectly until recently--probably after I mistakenly told them, when they inquired, that I was using it in the iPhone. That's a rotten Apple Sin not allowed by AT&T so now only talk and text works unlimited but no picture messaging. I read on one of the postings here that if one gets a new GoPhone SIM from AT&T replacing the old one and ukse it once in a regular GoPhone to make sure MMS is working, the new SIM can be placed in my iPhone and I'm back to picutre messaging again. The post went on to state that the APN unlock might need to be set in the profile of the iPhone but I had never set this before and originally, I had no problems sending and receiving MMS messages at no additional charge.

I'm not truying to get something I'm not entitled to with a standard GoPhone, but I just want it back on my iPhone. I realise AT&T doesn't share that view with the sacrade iPhone but I know this is possible. My phone is jailbroken but NOT unlocked so I am limited/stuck with AT&T for now.

Does anyone see any issues in what I have described above? Do I really need to run the unlockit APN app to make this work given the fact I did not do this originally when MMS was working for me with my GoPhone SIM in my iPhone. I just don't want to "muck" up the new SIM AT&t is giving me today for free since I have reported my old GoPhone lost.

Is it really even necessary to get a cheap gophone, install the new SIM, send one SMS message before placing the SIM in the iPhone? Is the profile actually set in the SIM for allowing MMS on the Gophone SIM or is it in the iPhone, or there a restrictive profile that is part of the issue preventing me from sending MMS?

Thanks for any input!!
