getting unlimited data back

They took it from me also. I've got to get ahold of an iPhone 2G so I can try this out. Otherwise I will be switching to Sprint.

It can't hurt you just can't have a data plan on the sim card you use or it well not work

So I need to call and remove the data plan from my iPhone 3GS? Then put the new sim in the iPhone 2G and start the process?

I just know that if you have a data plan you can't do it any more if you dont it works some one else may be more help I did this on a phone with no plan so that's all I can tell you

It goes throu easy that way the first time I did it I had a data plan it took two days and luck that the last person did it make you life easier drop data plan get dumb phone and 2g

do we need a new sim card? or can i just use my Iphone 4 sim card?...so I drop the 2gb plan, put sim into a dumbphone and then after a day put it into a iphone 2g and activate, then put it back to iphone 4? is that right

When you do it check and see if it has add the unlimited plan befor you put it back in 4g

I just did it today for my friend and yes you do need a dumb phone 1st.

If you call At&t to add the IMEI of a 1st Gen iPhone they will add the 2GB Plan to your account. If you take the sim out of dumb phone and do DFU restore in a iPhone 2G you will get unlimited data instantly. It will show on your At&t features right after the activation through iTunes is done.

hey guys i got a question I was able to get the 2g $20 unlimited and placed my sim back into a iphone 4 but I'm not sure if i should manually select the $30 option. Is it safe to do that or should i wait for the text to bump me up...It's been a day using my Iphone 4 and still not text, I'm still on the 2g data. have any one manually selected the $30 manually after doing this trick?

I got an error when trying to add it, but I'm still on the 2g unlimited so i'll just wait.

Use live chat with AT&T online that's what I did. And you can change it manually because it's locked too the 2g imei.

will I need to use a regular sim to start the process with the paygo phone and ip2g? Will I then have to cut that sim down to fit in the ip4? I wanna give this a try I'm really bothered on how apple has put a choke hold on the data!!

I'm still on the 2g unlimited data plan, not getting a text from att to move up...I don't want to contact AT&T regarding this...and I feel the process isn't complete yet...

If you get back on the unlimited data plan, are you still able to get the choice of unlimited texts? Or are you limited to just the 200 texts/month that comes with the unlimited data plan?
