I think you'd be surprised how many people do it. Also when I work for Att I still saw phones with out the app store some people just are computer savvy they just wanted the status symbol.

I just found it odd that AT&T was sending me a message about upgrading my firmware. I don't understand why AT&T cares what iOS I'm on.

I didn't upgrade. I will upgrade when the new jb comes out.

I was on 4.2 and JB with previous 3G & 3GS. Currently iOS 4.2 on IPhone 4 which was preloaded when bought phone

Oh, to answer your question No I have never recieved anything like that from AT&T text or otherwise, only in iTunes

Yes I got it to, and ignored it..LOL But, why would ATT give a rat as to wether you updated or not? nothing to them one way or the other.
