Default Can't send SMS to new numbers

This a bit of an odd situation. I can send new texts. I can receive them. The problem is if I click the "compose new message" button in the SMS app, and try to type in someones name or a phone number, it will not show the little "names preview" below the send to box. If I continue to type in a phone number and then click down to the body of the SMS, the phone number I typed in disappears and I can't click send.

Anyone have a solution to this problem? (iPhone 4 ios4.1

Well it really funny because this has been going on for about a month and nothing I tried fixed it.

But this morning I was fiddling with sbsettings' setting menu and found something that said "reset user directory" or something.

Well that fixed the problem. I think the directory for the SMS app was messed up or something.

Thanks though! I guess now if anyone else has this problem now they will know

Well, resetting the user dir permissions in the "system settings" option of sbsettings seems to fix the problem temporarily for small amounts of time.

So really I still need help too. Still looking for a fix
