Blocking a number?
Is Verizon the only company in the states that allows you to block someone from calling/texting you? I don't understand if they are able to have the technology, why the other carriers are not?
There are a few people who keep calling/texting me who I wish to not have contact with and have asked to stop, they just won't stop and I have no control over it at all...I don't like this at all."Don't hold it like that!"

Try iBlacklist. You can block pretty much anyone's calls or texts.

I'm not jailbroken and I'm not interested in all that other garbage, I just want to be able to block someone from calling/texting me, carrier dependant.
