Native tethering on jailbroken iPhone 4 (no MyWi)?
It's become very difficult to sift through all the information on tethering, so I apologize if this has already been answered.
MyWi 1.0 used to have an option to enable the native tethering on the iPhone. This is gone in MyWi 2.0 on a jailbroken iPhone 4.
Has there been an exploit yet that allows native tethering to be enabled on a JB'd iPhone 4 running 4.0.1?

It's not 100% native, but it's about as good as it will get. It has the same blue bar and you can exit the app after it is started.
If I somehow helped you, press thanks

Actually, the commcenter hack is for you. It enabled NATIVE tethering on my iPhone4.

I don't understand why you would risk patching your commcenter when you can just email yourself a .mobileconfig file with your APN settings and install the profile. It will automatically unlock the native tethering for you, at least I think it will. I've only pulled this off with Ultrasn0w. Worked on a 3GS and a 3G.

ultrasn0w will enable native tethering. You may have to get a MobileConfig file. There are some available at help.benm.at.

No, AT&T would not know that you are tethering. I use that same profile and have not had any problems. They may believe you are tethering if you suddenly go from using 400 MB of data to 8 GB, but other than that you shouldn't have any problems.

Now how do you actually get a .mobileconfig in such a way that you can email it?

I've only gotten it from the help.benm.at site which has been kept in my backup in iTunes.

Here is a generator with some instructions for carrier bundles. Carrier Bundle Generator iPhone OS 3.0 - 3.1.2 (ipcc) Mobileconfigs can be downloaded from help.benm.at

I am trying to get native tethering on my iPhone and I cannot. I have tried installing the ben.at file and it installed, and I have also installed Ultrasn0w. I would rather not do the commcenter hack. I have a 3GS, with 4.0.1, and modem firmware 05.13.04 Any ideas or ways to get native tethering?
Thanks!
