Will my IPhone 3gs activate?

Sadly, iam one of the unlucky user who had upgraded 3GS without SHSH blobs being saved..and iam stuck on emergency screen and iam from India.

The thing is i have thought about the solutions that are possible but i need modmyi guidance.


I understand that i cannot jailbreak iphone 3gs but how can i get past the emergency screen?

Insert an AT&T official sim card. connect to itunes.activate it. can i do this? so that i can atleast use iphone as a multimedia device.

My brother is coming from USA, Can i ask him to bring any AT&T sim card so that i can activate it.
Will itunes recognise the sim if i do the process from India.
iam talking about any At&T sim (not the one came with iphone only)will it work?


Or else can i send my iphone 3gs back to usa and use it there with any official at&t sim card?

Use a "Phone Book Sim" That will solve your problem.

if your running 3.1.3 firmware on a 3gs you can use spirit to jailbreak/unlock
