I called AT&T today in order to change my current $30 a month unlimited data plan to one of the new $15 200MB plans and I was told by the AT&T rep “ I’m sorry but your current device does not support the new data plans. You will need to upgrade to a newer device.” Righhhtttt……. So just like the MMS for the 2G users, we’re left in the dark as a way for AT&T to force an upgrade on their customers.
That doesn't make sense. Only 3G capable devices have to pay the $30 for data. The first generation iPhone only has EDGE so your plan should only be $20 for unlimited.
You would think. But I don't have the option to change that for myself on my account. Maybe I should call them? It might not be worth the trouble since I'm going to upgrade to a 3GS unless they release a new Iphone this summer.
