I got a question with Contracts.
Alright so we all know the iPhone 4G comes out sometime in June/July.
I got my 3GS about a week after it came out(Thats when my 2 year contract expired)
My question is.. Does my 2 year contract HAVE to end in order to get the iPhone 4G or can I just buy it off AT&T and repalce my 3GS with the 4G?
Thanks

I would think you can buy the phone outright, especially since you can do it now with an ATT contract. Either way they make money.
Depending on the specs, I'm going to sell my 3gs and get a 4g.

Probably get the best deal if you are currently out of contract, but you can always upgrade, it's just aatter of how much it will cost

depends on your rate plan.
if you have a plan of the $70 unl or $99.99 or higher, you are elig after 1 year.
if not its usually 20 months.
you can always do an early upgrade, but it will cost more (AT&T passes out early upgrades for the iPhones like crazy)
Your best bet is to dial
*NEW# (*639#) from your phone, hit call, and wait for the text from AT&T letting you know if & when youll be eligible for the upgrade.
hth!
hit the thanks if it did!yoTelefonoTresG, now introducing...
the new..
yoTelefonoCuatro.
say "Amen Brotha!" or "thanks a bunch!", click that "Thanks!" button!

Well, if AT&T continues with tradition, then they will allow 3gs users who purchased it within the first week or so to upgrade.
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream! Springboard screwy after reboot? Here is the fix

Only at a partial discount, not close to a full discount. I am with Soul on this one though. If the specs jump out at me I will sell my current 3GS and grab that one.
