Basic voicemail not working PLEASE HELP!

im running a 3g unlocked phone.
version. 3.1.2 (7d11)
carrier AT&T 5.6
modem firmware 05.11.07

after using blackra1n to unlock and break my phone. i am no longer able to access voicemail. I know VVM doesnt work. which is perfectly fine with me. ive searched this forum and all over the net and i cant seem to figure out how to get it to work.

i tried calling my own number but it just gives me a busy signal.
i tried the *500 whatever. im not sure i had the right XXX code. hell i dont even know what that code should be. Im on att network in michigan. i dont know if that matters or not.

i also tried the help.benm.at config generator. that didnt work either.

please can someone help me!

Since you are on ATT, have you tried using it without unlocking it. May I ask why you unlocked it and jailbroke it? You should be able to just jailbreak it then be ok on the ATT network.

May be better to start clean and restore then use blackra1n to just jailbreak; no blacksn0w. Again this could be different if you had the unlock for a reason, such as traveling overseas or using on T-Mobile.
