Are you prepaid or something? Do you get 3G reception at all?

go to help.benm.at/help on your iphone using wifi, scroll down to generator and click on it.

In the Apn field type in wap.cingular
In the voicemail type in acds.voicemail

then click generate or continue or something and install the profile.
My friend switched yesterday and that helped him to get the 3g. Good luck!

Or update your carrier setting to newest!

eMail this link to your iPhone and follow the instructions once you bring it up in Safari. Fixed a similar problem I had with an error message that stated "Could not activate cellular data network; you are not subscribed to a cellular data service".
